Man Crush of the Day: Actor and model Aiden Turner

Aiden TurnerAiden Turner was born in England in 1977. You probably recognize him from either the soap All My Children where he played Aidan or from his short gig on Dancing with the Stars. Really, once you get a little peek at Aiden, it’s hard to forget him: the British accent, the dashing good looks, the muscles, the abs … it’s a shocker that this actor isn’t all over the place! I caught him on Rachel Ray this morning doing a segment where he went behind the scenes of this season’s Dancing with the Stars. He’s every girl’s (and some guy’s) idea of the perfect man: he has the looks, he can cook (he went to culinary school before getting into modeling and acting), he’s traveled the world. Did we mention he’s good looking, the muscles, the abs? Oh, right, we did. Just checking.

Since leaving All My Children in 2009 and doing Dancing with the Stars, it feels like he’s retreated a bit into hiding. I hope that we’ll see him picked up for something new and exciting soon. Something with lots of exposure … you know, shirtless scenes and all. Until then, you can head over to his website or stop by his Facebook and Twitter (@aidenturner) pages. For now, take a look at some of his great moments captured over the years and start your campaigns to get him back on television or in movies pronto!

“Toxic” Duel on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Seems like Britney Spears and God are having the best week ever! First, Britney’s Glee tribute earned the distinction of being the show’s best showing yet, amassing an impressive couple million viewers. The episode also spawned a couple of Britney covers that’ve climbed the iTunes charts. Glee went from pushing the envelope with sex to taking on religion. Not only did God find himself at the center of attention on the much discussed ‘Glee’ episode entitled “Grilled Cheesus” but he was also involved in a plot on ABC’s Modern Family when Gloria was faced with the realization that Jay thinks church is unnecessary and questioned the existence of God and Hell.

And just when you thought it was time for Britney to retreat into the pop culture vault for autumn, bang, ‘Dancing with the Stars’ brings her music back to everyone’s mind. Mark Ballas and Mark Chmerkovskiy “dueled” one another in dance and through playing instruments to the tune of Britney’s “Toxic”.  Check out that Brit-tastic moment below:
